For a good effect, you must first choose a good picture. The resolution of the picture must be high. Only a clear picture can print a clear effect. Secondly, the relief effect of the map should be as high as possible to choose a stronger contrast, that is, the so-called look bright and dark, the color contrast is more vivid, the relief effect will be better. For example, the following picture is a picture used for The best choice for making 8D varnish relief effect;

A good picture is not enough. We also need to make corresponding channels for the parts that need to be embossed through the PS software;

First, open the PS software, import the selected picture, and adjust the size. The size here is the actual printed size, so you should adjust it according to the size you print.

Select the appropriate tool from the magic wand tool, lasso tool, and pen tool, and select the part that needs to be embossed.

According to the four channels of CMYK, select the channel with strong contrast between light and dark, and then use the mouse to drag the new button below, copy a copy, and then press the [Ctrl+L] key combination to adjust the level adjustment window, according to the picture effect, appropriate Adjust the left and right sliders to the middle part to make the contrast between the light and dark of the channel color stronger. Finally, while holding down the [Ctrl] key, click the [channel thumbnail] with the mouse, then right-click to select [Reverse], and finally click on the channel menu and click [New Spot Color Channel], the color of the channel is set to mixed Black (color value C:100 M:100 Y:100 K:100), named 【spot_1】.

At this time, the white channel part of the 8D relief has been printed. If the position of the varnish printing is the same as the white embossed part, just copy the [spot_1] channel and rename it to [spot_2]. The point to be emphasized here is that the [spot_2] channel copied at this time has both light and dark. If you need to print a layer of varnish with the same thickness on the relief, you need to fill the color on the [spot_2] channel to a uniform Mixed black.

It is also emphasized here that if there is a transparent area in your picture (you can see the checkered background of PS), you must create a new layer at the bottom of all layers, and then fill it with white, otherwise it will not print normally. Because the thickness of the printed white ink relief and varnish is performed according to the brightness of the channel color. After making the picture, save it in TIFF format for future use.

         Next, once you have a finished picture in TIFF format, you can import the RIP software for pre-printing related settings. Here we take Photoprint as an example for the RIP software.

Set the print mode of spot_1 and spot_2 to Spot color, and then click [Send] to generate a prt format picture recognized by the UV printer.

        Open the PrintExp printing control software and import the processed prt format picture into the file;

Set the ink output mode to [normal], and adjust the print position coordinates;

        Place the printed object, and then automatically measure the height of the printed board to measure the thickness of the printed board. Generally, the distance between the nozzle and the printed object is 2mm;

        Right-click [Print] on the file, and the UV printer will start to enter the printing state;

        Next, just wait for an exquisite 8D embossed varnish effect to show up.
